Project Pattaya
Six years ago, God miraculously provided a way for Project Pattaya to become a reality, with a house, garden, and two connected shop houses, all completely mortgage free. Today, the home is a safe place for young girls, and the garden provides life skills training, nature therapy, and a sustainable food source. The shophouses have been outfitted with a sewing training room, classroom, and professional baking studio. But we aren't finished yet! Hear from our founder, Bonita Thompson, as she shares our vision for the final phases of Project Pattaya...
Why is completing Project Pattaya important to us?
Pattaya is a historically beautiful seaside city, known for its seafood, scenic views, and sprawling night life. In our work with women and girls, we seek to end exploitation in the red light districts, by providing pathways to freedom through education and job skills training. Currently, we offer baking classes and education sponsorships through high school and beyond. The addition of an on-site restaurant would mean: employment for vulnerable women in Pattaya, a safe and healing family environment, *plus* cooking, business, and marketing training for women looking to start their own culinary business!
